Tejashwi’s reply to PM Modi: Where there’s no action on scams, that’s the real ‘jungle raj’!

RJD leader and the Grand Alliance’s newly announced chief ministerial candidate, Tejashwi Yadav, on Friday hit back at the NDA, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement highlighting court cases against him and questioning the NDA’s record. He said the Prime Minister himself listed 55 scams against Nitish Kumar. What action has been taken? Targeting crime in BJP-ruled states, Tejashwi further fueled the long-standing allegation of “jungle raj.” He alleged that lawlessness prevails and BJP-ruled states top the national crime chart. Tejashwi Yadav said that when scams are happening and no action is taken, it’s jungle raj. Not a single day goes by in Bihar without shootings, murders, robberies, rapes, and kidnappings… Uttar Pradesh has the highest crime rate in the country, with Bihar coming in second. The top five BJP-ruled states have the highest crime rates in the country. What are they doing there? He also targeted the BJP’s political strategy, claiming that the party’s focus is more on Gujarat than Bihar: “They only want to misuse agencies. They will set up factories in Gujarat and want to win in Bihar; that’s not going to happen.” Tejashwi further said, “We don’t make broken, scattered, or false promises. We do what we say… If Tejashwi Yadav becomes the Chief Minister, the people of Bihar will also become the Chief Minister. We will free Bihar from crime and corruption.” The RJD leader’s counterattack comes a day after senior BJP leader and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad publicly targeted him. Speaking at a press conference after Tejashwi was declared the Grand Alliance’s Chief Ministerial candidate, Prasad said, “Now, regarding Tejashwi Yadav, the Delhi High Court has issued two orders. He said the court investigated all the cases and declared that this (IRCTC hotel corruption case) is a serious case of corruption and 420… Tejashwi Yadav, you are accused under Section 420 of the IPC. The punishment is seven years.” Your claim that you will not tolerate corruption needs to be addressed… People of Bihar, beware. These 26 million families in Bihar, to whom they are promising permanent jobs, their (RJD) background is such that it will make your entire life difficult. None of their work is done without corruption, and I am providing proof of this.
