Wave of change in the country, Mukul Wasnik said – Congress will win more than 10 seats in Gujarat.
Congress’s Gujarat in-charge Mukul Wasnik on Wednesday claimed that there is a wave of change across the country and expressed confidence that his party will win more than 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Wasnik further claimed that there is resentment among the people against the government and the people of Gujarat will support Congress by winning more than 10 seats. The senior Congress leader was talking to reporters after reaching Ahmedabad for a meeting of his party leaders. Elections were held on 7 May for 25 of the total 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat. BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal was declared the unopposed winner of Surat seat even before the elections. Under the seat-sharing agreement of the opposition India Bloc, the Congress contested 23 seats and the Aam Aadmi Party fielded candidates on two seats. Counting of votes will take place on June 4. He said that the wave of change can be seen everywhere. We have been saying that we are confident of winning more than 10 seats with public support. It would not be surprising if we get such results. There is a wave of change in the state. When the votes are counted I believe there will be change and we will defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party. The Rajya Sabha member claimed that there is immense disappointment and anger among the public across the country. He claimed that the way people were misled in the last 10 years has created a kind of anger against the government. He said that its effect will be visible on the results. The Congress leader said that he has been saying that he hopes to win more than 10 seats in Gujarat.
