BJP leaders termed former Chief Minister Gehlot’s statement as baseless and irrational

The leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan termed the latest statement of senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot regarding Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma as baseless and irrational. Gehlot had said in Jodhpur on Wednesday that a conspiracy is going on to remove Chief Minister Sharma, which he is unable to understand. Party leader Rajendra Rathore, while countering Gehlot’s statement, said in a post on ‘X’, “The statement given by former Chief Minister Gehlot regarding the BJP government in the state is baseless, irrational and misleading. Gehlot is probably remembering his own tenure when his government was divided into two camps before it could even complete one year.” He said, “Today when the BJP government is engaged in public service, accelerating the pace of development and leading the state on the path of good governance, Gehlot is baking political bread by making baseless allegations to gain cheap popularity and remain in the media headlines.” Cabinet Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, while countering Gehlot’s statement, said, “The one whose entire tenure was spent in gathering and counting his own MLAs in five-star hotels, is today raising questions on stability?” Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sumit Godara said that former Chief Minister Gehlot spent his days counting days in his government. He said, “People who did not step out of the Chief Minister’s residence for 20 months during the Corona (Covid-19) period are talking about the instability of our government. Whereas Chief Minister Sharma is working day and night dedicatedly for the common people of Rajasthan.” Water Resources Minister Suresh Rawat said, “Chief Minister Sharma is taking Rajasthan towards all-round development, which the Congress party is unable to digest and the Congress people try to divert the attention of the public. Our government will continue to work strongly under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
