Congress and Arvind Kejriwal are synonymous with corruption: Union Minister Anurag Thakur

Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh). Union Minister and BJP leader Anurag Thakur on Wednesday termed Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal as synonymous with corruption and said that their only objective is to gain power and make money. In his address at election rallies in Hamirpur and Una districts, Thakur alleged that while the Indian Army was giving a befitting reply to the Chinese Army in Doklam, Congress leaders were talking to China behind closed doors. Thakur said, “How much money has Congress taken from China and what signatures (agreements) have been done behind closed doors? Rahul Gandhi should tell this to the public. He claimed that when our soldiers were yearning for better facilities, Congress continuously weakened the army at the behest of enemy countries and worked as a broker of defense deals. Thakur, BJP candidate from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat, alleged, “Congress and Arvind Kejriwal are synonymous with corruption and they have no love and trust for the people. They are only working to get power to make money and harass the opponents.” He said that the people of the country are very intelligent and they will oust Congress and AAP from Indian politics. Thakur claimed that the Center had given Rs 1,700 crore assistance to Himachal Pradesh during the monsoon disaster last year and 13 NDRF teams were sent to the state to help the flood affected. But Congress leaders are claiming that the BJP-led Center did nothing for the people during the disaster, he said. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of election rallies, the BJP leader alleged that BJP’s opponents have already conducted caste surveys in some southern states where they are in power and that they have ‘changed five per cent of the reservation earmarked for SC, ST and OBC’. Thakur said that now the question arises whether they are going to do the same in Himachal Pradesh. He said that the people of the state have decided to vote in favor of BJP and for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Have made up my mind to ensure tenure.
