CM Revanth Reddy appears in court over alleged remarks against police

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday appeared before a special court here in a case registered against him in 2023 for allegedly making derogatory remarks against policemen while he was the Congress president in the state. This is the second time Revanth Reddy appeared before the MP-MLA court. The court on Thursday deferred the hearing of the case till June 12. Revanth Reddy had earlier appeared in court on February 20 and was questioned. He denied the allegations levelled against him and requested for a hearing in the case. Based on a complaint by a policeman/police association president of Nirmal district, a case was registered against Revanth Reddy in Nirmal district in August 2023 under relevant sections of the IPC and was later transferred to Begum Bazar police station in Hyderabad on grounds of jurisdiction.
