Tejashwi Yadav wrote a letter to PM Modi regarding caste based census, now made this big demand

Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has written a detailed letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcoming the Center’s decision to conduct a caste-based census across the country along with the general census. However, in the letter, he sharply criticized the NDA’s previous stand and urged the government to use the data for comprehensive social justice reforms. In his letter, Yadav reminded the Prime Minister of the opposition and obstacles created by NDA leaders and institutions during the 17-month tenure of the Grand Alliance in Bihar when the state government conducted its caste-based survey. Yadav wrote, “For years, your government and the NDA have been dismissing the demand for a caste-based census as divisive and unnecessary. When the Grand Alliance government decided to conduct it, central officials and your party allies actively questioned its need and created obstacles.” Former Bihar deputy chief minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi on the Centre’s decision to include caste census in the national census. He said the Bihar caste survey revealed that OBCs and EBCs constitute nearly 63 per cent of the state’s population – a finding that “shattered long-standing myths” and demonstrated the urgent need for inclusive governance. Yadav said similar patterns are likely to emerge nationally as well, and the revelation that disadvantaged communities form an overwhelming majority while they are under-represented in positions of power should spark a democratic awakening.
