The government is making Thar and bulldozer a symbol of intimidation, Akhilesh Yadav’s direct attack on UP

government Akhilesh Yadav has once again accused the state government of trying to intimidate people through Thar and bulldozer without paying attention to the growing unemployment and insecurity. Yadav was addressing the media after a meeting with members of Lohia Vahini, an organizational wing committed to the promotion of the ideas of socialist thinker Ram Manohar Lohia. Akhilesh said that we believe in democracy, law and the constitution of this country. He alleged that commission has increased in this government, all limits of corruption have been broken. The SP chief said that the youth will protect the Constitution and will work to save reservation. He said that the government is making Thar and bulldozer a symbol of intimidation. He claimed that the attack on MP Ramjilal Suman ji somewhere indicates that the attackers have the support of the government. He said that the youth will protect the constitution of the country and the right to reservation. Yet, they are plagued by either lack of employment, underemployment or unfair wages. He also questioned the government about the increasing privatisation of education, which he said has put it out of reach of the economically weak and even the middle class. While UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had recently said that the state’s unemployment rate had come down to 2.4%, Yadav said if Rs 36 lakh crore had been disbursed to 52 crore people under the Mudra scheme, as per the government’s own data, there would not have been a single unemployed person in the state. The Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) provides loans up to Rs 10 lakh to non-corporate and non-agricultural small/micro enterprises. As per the latest data available on the scheme’s website, funds worth over Rs 5,41,012 crore have been disbursed under the scheme. Yadav also referred to the recent attack on MP Ramji Lal Suman by the Karni Sena and said such attacks were possible only because these elements enjoy the protection of the state government. He had recently raised an issue in which he claimed that police stations are dominated by Thakurs and other such castes. Today he gave the example of Kushinagar, where he said there is only one member of the PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) community posted as in-charge of a police station.
