Terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam is an inhuman and barbaric act: Chief Minister Dhami
Terming the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir as an ‘inhuman and barbaric act’, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday expressed deep condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the incident. In a social media post, the Chief Minister said, “This terrorist attack is an inhuman and barbaric act against humanity. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this cowardly attack.” He said terrorism is an attack on the values of culture, peace and humanity. However, he said that the attempts of terrorists to disturb Jammu and Kashmir will never succeed. Dhami said, “These terrorists will definitely get a befitting reply for this act.” 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed in a terrorist attack on Tuesday afternoon at a tourist spot known as ‘Mini Switzerland’ near Pahalgam town in Kashmir. This is the deadliest attack in the Valley after the Pulwama attack in 2019.
