Limiting people’s identity to their appearance is ‘shameful, regressive and racist’: Chandrababu Naidu

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday referred to Congress leader Sam Pitroda’s recent statement and said limiting the identity of people to their appearance is ‘shameful, regressive and racist’. Terming limiting people’s identity to their appearance as shameful, regressive and racist, he wrote on ‘X’, “There is no place for such divisive and racist comments in a civilized society.” Former Chief Minister Naidu said that People with political influence should maintain the spirit of unity in diversity of India. Pitroda had recently said that “the people of the East in India look like Chinese and South Indians look like Africans”.
