Uddhav is also like Nero: Eknath Shinde

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday took a dig at Shiv Sena (Ubatha) chief Uddhav Thackeray, comparing him to ‘Nero, who kept playing the flute while Rome was burning.’ At the party’s ‘Dhanyavad Rally’ in Junnar in Pune district, Shinde said he was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth but was born to bring golden days in the lives of common people. Shinde said he wanted to make the common citizen a ‘superman’. Shinde rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray and split the Shiv Sena in June 2022, leading to the collapse of the Thackeray-led Maharashtra government. Taking a dig at Thackeray, Shinde said Nero was playing the flute when Rome was burning and his case is also similar.
